Manchester Metropolitan Police has named the terrorist in Monday night’s terror attack at an Ariana Grande concert as the son of Libyan migrants Salman Abedi. Security services are investigating whether Abedi was working alone or was part of a terror network.

Authorities have confirmed there are 22 fatalities following the bombing at the concert which was predominantly attended by young girls, families, and teenagers.

Sixty-four people are being treated in eight hospitals across the Greater Manchester area, 20 of who are said to be in a critical condition.

Prime Minister Theresa May has confirmed the threat level has been raised to the highest level, ‘critical’, and London’s Metropolitan Police have deployed the military to guard key locations across the city including Downing Street and Buckingham Palace.

Home Secretary Amber Rudd has confirmed Abedi was known to intelligence services, and links to Syria, Islamic State, and Libya are being explored.

Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the attack.
