Limbaugh on ‘Hasty’ Decision to Pull ‘Dukes of Hazzard’: Dukes Would Have Been at Home in Dem Anti-Cop Movement

On his Wednesday radio show, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh reacted to TVLand’s decision to pull “Dukes of Hazzard” reruns from its lineup.

According to Limbaugh, the common theme of the show, which portrays the main characters Bo and Luke Duke eluding the local sheriff would have fit in with modern anti-police sentiments within the Democratic Party.

“[I] think they might have made a hasty decision here,” Limbaugh said. “You ever seen the ‘Dukes of Hazzard?’ Well, here’s the thing about it – Bo and Luke Duke, that’s who the ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ are, they hated the white cops in their county. And their county was Hazzard County. They hated the cops. They’d had been right at home today in the Democrat Party’s anti-cop movement.”
