@awrhawkins

On January 11 the NRA Blog listed @AWRHawkins as one of eight Twitter accounts that pro-gun Americans need to follow in 2017.

In a message posted to Twitter they wrote:

A link in the tweet takes readers to a page listing the Twitter accounts of Black Guns Matter, Kimberly Corban, Dana Loesch, Antonia Okafor, Colion Noir, AWR Hawkins, Sheriff David Clarke, and Lee & Tiffany Lakosky as those that should be followed throughout the year.

NRA Blog provided readers with a concise bio of Hawkins:

AWR Hawkins writes for Breitbart News and frequently contributes to popular news programming, sounding off with intellect and passion on current events in his trademark southern drawl. AWR routinely appears on NRATV’s Cam & Co., among others, discussing truth in journalism, conservative politics, and American freedoms, including the Second Amendment. He was a Visiting Fellow at the Russell Kirk Center for Cultural Renewal, and he holds a PhD in military history from Texas Tech University.

On October 18, 2016, Breitbart News launched a podcast titled “Bullets with AWR Hawkins.” The podcast, which is hosted by Hawkins, focuses on the relevant gun news of each week while also giving podcast subscribers the opportunity to hear from leaders in the gun rights movement. Guests to date have included Representative Richard Hudson (R-NC-8), motorcycle and gun builder Jesse James, Defense Distributed’s Cody Wilson, Gun Owners of America’s Erich Pratt, Gun Owners of America’s Larry Pratt, former Representative Matt Salmon (R-AZ-5), Black Guns Matter founder Maj Toure, Kimberly Corban, former NRA president David Keene, Cam & Company host Cam Edwards, Georgia Carry’s Jerry Henry, and the Crime Prevention Research Center’s John Lott, among others.
