As promised, Will Ferrell’s Funny or Die web site is now an arm of President Barack Obama’s campaign for his signature health care legislation.
The site posted a new video featuring Jennifer Hudson as a Scandal-like fixer, a takeoff of ABC’s political drama starring Kerry Washington. It’s the thinnest of premises meant to promote the unpopular health care legislation coming our way this week. The clip repeats the administration’s talking points about the “Affordable Care Act” but delivers nary a smile, let alone a laugh.
Frankly, there’s nothing funny about comedians shilling for the government, no questions asked.
UPDATE: Ferrell and co. apparently waived their standard fees in order to serve Obama.
