Amy Schumer is confident in her own skin and wants everyone to know it.

The 34-year-old comedian and gun control activist took to Instagram Tuesday to send a strong message to her critics, posting a photo of herself in a swimsuit on a beach.

“I meant to write ‘good morning trolls!’ I hope you find some joy in your lives today in a human interaction and not just in writing unkind things to a stranger you’ve never met who triggers something in you that makes you feel powerless and alone,” the Trainwreck star captioned the snap.

Schumer is reportedly in Hawaii with boyfriend Ben Hanisch to celebrate their six-month anniversary.

“This is how I look. I feel happy,” Schumer continued in her own comment on the swimsuit shot. “I think I look strong and healthy and also like miss trunchbull from Matilda. Kisses!”

Schumer is certainly confident; the actress has posed nude or semi-nude on several occasions in recent months. She posed in nothing but her underwear for the annual Pirelli calendar in November and also recently released the cover of her new memoir, The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, for which she appears topless.

Last month, Schumer lashed out at Glamour magazine after the publication labeled her “plus-size” in a feature.

“I think there’s nothing wrong with being plus size. Beautiful healthy women,” she wrote on Instagram. “Plus size is considered size 16 in America. I go between a size 6 and an 8. @glamourmag put me in their plus size only issue without asking or letting me know and it doesn’t feel right to me.”

Schumer’s been busy lately. In addition to gearing up for the release of her memoir, the comedian is also in the middle of the fourth season of her Comedy Central show Inside Amy Schumer and is set to star alongside Goldie Hawn in an as-yet-untitled mother-daughter comedy film.
