According to a 2013 study, 3 billion pizzas are sold in the United States yearly. But for one North Carolina woman, a pizza delivered last Thursday proved unsatisfactory. That’s when 37-year-old, Bevalente Hall, allegedly took matters into her own hands: she called 911 to report that her pie was prepared with the wrong kind of sauce. She was subsequently arrested for the misuse of 911.
But her husband notified a local news channel to report a harrowing ordeal…an ordeal in which his wife was forced to throw out her pizza after being denied a refund..a request for a new pizza was similarly denied. This, after the woman apparently realized that marinara sauce was applied to her pizza rather than pizza sauce. Awful. Just plain awful.
Compelling. Tragic.
