Do You Believe in Miracles?

There was a time when I didn’t believe in God or miracles or anything else related to Christianity.  I wrote in my book, Finding Mr. Righteous, about my religious journey and the moments that led to becoming Christian.  One of them was having the opportunity to sit next to author Eric Metaxas at a dinner event.  We had mutual friends and I told him that one of them had recommended his books.  I sheepishly admitted that I hadn’t had a chance to read them yet.  He said he brought one copy of Everything You Always Wanted to Know about God (But Were Afraid to Ask), The Jesus Edition and that perhaps it was meant for me.

Four years later, I know that it was.  It was the beginning of a journey that ultimately led to me becoming a Christian.  While watching the introduction video (above) to Eric’s new book, Miracles: What They Are, How They Happen, And How They Can Change Your Life I was reminded that miracles can be as small as giving a book to someone who might need it and as large as a person who had completely turned her back on God realizing that even when she left him, he never left her.

Today, not only am I a proud Christian, but I had the chance to tell my story in a published book complete with endorsements on the back cover from Eric Metaxas and the mutual friend — Ann Coulter — who recommended his books to me.  I can’t wait to read Miracles and, more importantly, share it with friends.
