Gillibrand: People ‘Fueled’ by Trump’s Racism Are ‘Hunting’ Fellow Americans

Monday on MSNBC, 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) said the recent mass shootings in Texas and Ohio were a result of “weapons of war in the hands of people who are set on hunting down other humans.

She also blamed “racism spewed by” President Donald Trump.

Gillibrand said, “It’s outrageous and absurd, and he needs to take responsibility for the hate he has spewed, the division he’s caused in America, the racism he’s inspired. He needs to take responsibility for it. Let’s be clear about what’s actually happening and be very specific. We have people in this country today, people fueled by hate, hunting other humans on our streets today, with weapons of war. ”

She added, “How many people died in less than a minute, less than a minute?  That is the problem with large magazines and military-style assault weapons, guns of war, weapons of war in the hands of people who are set on hunting down other humans because of the racism spewed by President Trump.”
