Gillibrand: ‘It’s Not Fair’ People Have to Look at Confederate Soldiers Statues

Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) said it was not “fair” people had to look at statues and monuments of  Confederate soldiers while discussing an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) offered by her colleague Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) that would change the names of all Army bases named for Confederate generals and require the removal of monuments that commemorate the Confederacy.

Bored Bernie: Sanders Fidgets, Yawns During Senate Impeachment Trial

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), forced to stay off of the campaign trail due to the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump, is reportedly struggling with boredom and has been spotted yawning, “shuffling in his chair,” and reading the back of a tin containing what appeared to be lozenges throughout the hours-long process.

Kirsten Gillibrand Drops Out of 2020 Race

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) said Wednesday that she is quitting the 2020 Democrat presidential primary after failing to qualify for a third debate in September, according to the New York Times.
