‘Walking Dead’ Star Norman Reedus Bitten by Fan at Zombie Convention

The Walking Dead co-star Norman Reedus was bitten by a female fan during a fan meet-and-greet event in Secaucus, New Jersey over the weekend.

While Reedus has thus far avoided being bitten on the hit AMC zombie show, his fate was sealed , when he encountered a rabid super fan.

The Daily Mail reports the incident occurred during a photo opportunity with Reedus and former Walking Dead co-star Michael Rooker, who previously played the actor’s brother on the show.

A woman approached the pair, and after taking a photo with the pair, told Reedus she likes to pretend that she is married to him. She then reportedly bit Reedus in the chest.

The Mail reports security quickly restrained the woman and escorted her out of the convention.

Law enforcement officials told TMZ that the actor was not injured during the attack and declined to press charges against the woman, who posted the photo she took with the two actors to Instagram, along with an apology to Reedus.

Reedus was able to carry on the event as planned, while his attacker has been banned from attending any future Walker Stalker conventions, in addition to other sponsored events featuring Reedus.

Reedus seemed to take the incident in stride, posting to Instagram a promotional image of his character wearing a t-shirt that originally had the words “Bite Me” written on it. Reedus photoshopped in the words “Do Not” and captioned the photo: “Um please don’t.”
