The Daily Beast published a piece by author Rob Brotherton that explains “How the Illuminati Stole the Mind, Soul, and Body of Hip-Hop.”
Brotherton authored a book about conspiracy theories, parts of which analyze the fact and fiction surrounding infamous secret society groups like the Illuminati. Brotherton’s Daily Beast piece paints a historical picture that explains the Illuminati’s heavy influence in hip-hip music, but ultimately admits that “most hip-hop artists don’t buy into the Illuminati theories.”
Brotherton points to an April 2015 interview where Kanye West flat-out accuses captains of American industry as the boogiemen controlling the world, not musicians and entertainers.
“If there was actually an Illuminati, it would be more like the energy companies—not celebrities that gave their life to music and who are pinpointed as decoys for people who really run the world,” Kanye West said. “I’m tired of people pinpointing musicians as the Illuminati. That’s ridiculous. We don’t run anything; we’re celebrities. We’re the face of brands. We have to compromise what we say in lyrics so we don’t lose money on a contract. Fuck all of this sensationalism. We gave you our lives. We gave you our hearts. We gave you our opinions!”
If Kanye West–one of hip-hop’s most successful stars–is denouncing the Illuminati while secretly governing it, that makes us all pawns in a mindbogglingly elaborate plot. The irony of that scenario smacks like a speeding train.
However, West does surround himself, personally and professionally, with people who have been repeatedly linked to the Illuminati.
He has either produced, written, or collaborated with musicians from Nas, Nikki Minaj, to Lady Gaga, Madonna, Bob Dylan, and Justin Bieber. Kanye West can thank much of his music success to his “Big Brother” Shawn “Jay-Z Carter, a music mogul who was among the first to be connected to the Illuminati.
Not to mention that Kanye West is married to Kim Kardashian and, thus, a family that is rife with rumors of Illuminati ties.
Fueling further Illuminati conspiracies, to Brotherton’s point, is the fact that Kanye West wants to run for U.S. president and win in 2020.
Kanye West is hip-hop’s #1 icon and a masterful entertainer. That he is doubling as a New World Order enthusiast and world event-controlling puppet master remains to be seen.
