In light of recent allegations of racist and anti-Semitic remarks from American-based beauty company Revlon’s Italian-born CEO Lorenzo Delpani, Breitbart News reached out to the organization’s public relations team in an attempt to gauge a response from the organization’s majority shareholder, Ronald Perelman.
Delpani allegedly said he believes Americans are “dirty” and “small-minded,” that “Jews stick together,” and that he has the ability to “smell a black person” upon entering a room, according to a lawsuit brought against the company by one of its former top scientists, Alan Meyer. Revlon has refuted Meyers’ claims, suggesting instead that his lawsuit is “completely meritless” and said Meyers “repeatedly demonstrated critical lapses in judgment and failed to perform at the high standard we demand of our employees.”
In response to Breitbart News, Revlon responded with the following statement. The below statement has also been posted to Revlon.com.
Alan Meyer’s lawsuit is a completely meritless attack by a former employee who is trying to distract from his own failed performance with false, sensational, and offensive allegations.
Our Chairman, Ronald Perelman has expressed his unequivocal support for Lorenzo Delpani in the face of these offensive allegations.
For 80 years, Revlon has always made the safety and well being of our consumers our top priority, demanding one of the most rigorous safety regimes in the industry.
Revlon has a long history of championing people of all backgrounds, races, and religions and has been an industry leader in supporting and nurturing diversity.
Mr. Meyers repeatedly demonstrated critical lapses in judgment and failed to perform at the high standard we demand of our employees. Tellingly, Mr. Meyers repeatedly acknowledged his own embarrassment over failures and applauded Mr. Delpani’s expertise and vision.
These outrageous allegations are being made after Mr. Meyers voluntarily resigned in light of his failed performance and withdrew his acceptance of the severance agreement. Instead, he chose to file a lawsuit in the midst of the holiday in an attempt to get an unwarranted additional payout.
We will aggressively fight these baseless claims and this frivolous action.

“I know Lorenzo as an executive and as a person. These allegations are both absurd and offensive to me and those around me. I personally know his mind and his character. He is among the least bigoted or biased human I have ever known. He has my full support.”
