On May 21, NRA-ILA executive director Chris Cox said, “Bernie’s right” regarding the industry-crushing ramifications of Hillary Clinton’s push to allow crime victims to sue gun manufacturers.

Breitbart News previously reported that Bernie Sanders took time during a March 6 Democratic debate to warn voters that the logical end of Hillary Clinton’s lawsuit push is the end of gun manufacturing in America. He suggested that if Clinton’s war on Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) is successful, it will literally eliminate gun makers in this country.

According to The Guardian, Cox said, “I don’t say this often … OK, fine, I’ve never said it. But Bernie’s right.” He added, “Holding gun manufacturers liable for the acts of madmen and terrorists will put them out of business overnight.”

Cox stressed that Clinton’s lawsuit push is not about safety but about finally achieving the left’s goal of getting rid of guns. He said:

When a criminal knocks out a convenience store clerk with a baseball bat, you don’t sue Louisville Slugger. When a terrorist shoots dozens of people in San Bernardino, or a deranged monster slaughters school children, well – according to Hillary, that’s the gun manufacturer’s fault and they ought to be sued for it. This has absolutely nothing to do with keeping anyone safer, anywhere, and everything to do with banning your guns.
