Boeing has released its “Heroes 2013” edition of Stars and Stripes to honor the bravery and service of our military personnel.
“Heroes 2013” brings readers a collection of photographs of soldiers receiving awards, holding positions on the battlefield, and candid photos of soldiers on deployment in other settings.
The publication also contains the stories of bravery and valor behind the issuance of the Medal of Honor, the Bronze and Silver Stars, the Distinguished Flying Cross, and the Distinguished Service Cross, among others. Where possible, the publication has conducted interviews with those who received these awards.
These interviews humbly recount the the extreme risk to life and limb our brave men and women in uniform undertake to keep us free.
“Heroes 2013” is not limited to military heroes from 2013. It also contains interviews with decorated military personnel from the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and others.
The publication is available online, in ebook format, and in print.
