Dec. 16 (UPI) — Donald Trump Jr. has a wedding in his near future after fiancé Bettina Anderson recently accepted his marriage proposal.
President Donald Trump’s oldest offspring announced the engagement Monday night during a Palm Beach, Fla., holiday party, The Hill reported.
“It’s not often that I’m at a loss for words because we usually do the ranting and raving really well, but this is a little different,” Trump Jr., 47, told party attendees.
“I just want to wish all of you guys an incredible holiday season, a merry Christmas, a very happy New Year, and to thank Bettina for that one word, ‘yes,'” he said.
“You go down there, and you’re gonna go and you try to ask, you’re not sure what the answer is going to be,” Trump Jr. continued. “It’s a little bit rough, but she said yes, so that’s a big win for the end of the year.”
The Hill described Anderson, 39, as a Palm Beach socialite who, along with her family, often stays at the president’s Mar-A-Lago resort.
“I get to marry the love of my life, and I feel just like the luckiest girl in the world,” she told party attendees on Monday.
Anderson is a 2009 graduate of Columbia University with a bachelor’s in history, criticism and conservation.
Trump Jr., recently also was engaged to marry Kimberly Guilfoyle, who now is the U.S. ambassador to Greece.
Trump Jr. was married to Vanessa Trump, with whom he fathered five children. Their marriage ended in 2018.
