The eight-time Emmy winner will play the love interest of widowed patriarch Kelly Stone (Craig T. Nelson).
The movie is a sequel to the classic 2005 comedy, The Family Stone, which saw multiple generations of the titular clan gather in their beautiful Connecticut home for what turns out to be the matriarch’s last Christmas.
The late Diane Keaton played the mom, while Rachel McAdams, Dermot Mulroney, Luke Wilson, Elizabeth Reaser and Ty Giordano played her children.
Claire Danes and Sarah Jessica Parker play the women Mulroney and Wilson fall in love with in the first film.
