Sept. 26 (UPI) — The Conners and The Righteous Gemstones alum John Goodman joined the Season 3 ensemble of HBO’s video-game adaptation, The Last of Us.
The Emmy winner will play Joey to Ian Alexander’s Paco in an upcoming arc of the zombie-apocalypse drama.
The characters describe themselves as “heroes of the highway.”
The first two seasons of the show starred Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie, survivors with a father-daughter-like bond until Joel is brutally murdered in front of her.
Season 3 is expected to be told from the point of view of the killer Abby, played by Kaitlyn Dever.
Also joining the cast this season, which is slated to premiere next year, are Jason Ritter and Patrick Wilson.
