Jojo Siwa, Sunisa Lee to compete on 'Dancing with the Stars' S30

Aug. 27 (UPI) — Pop music and reality TV star Jojo Siwa and Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Sunisa Lee have joined Season 30 of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

Siwa, who came out as gay in January, will be the first contestant to have a same-sex partner for the competition.

“I am so excited to be a part of this year’s Dancing with the Stars Season 30 and to be dancing with a girl. I think it is so cool,” Siwa said in a video posted on the show’s Twitter feed Thursday.

The remaining 13 celebrities who will compete on DWTS will be announced on the Sept. 8 edition of ABC’s Good Morning America.

Season 30 will kick off on Sept. 20.

The judges will be Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough.

Tyra Banks is the host.
