Dec. 10 (UPI) — Kylian Mbappe, who is dealing with finger and leg injuries, is included on Real Madrid’s roster for a Champions League contest with Manchester City.
Los Blancos listed Mbappe alongside fellow forwards Vinicius Jr., Endrick, Rodrygo, Gonzalo, Brahim and Mastantuono on its 22-player roster for the league phase match, which will be Wednesday afternoon in Madrid.
Sources told ESPN and Marca that Mbappe, who did not train on the field with teammates Tuesday in Madrid, could come off the bench.
Mbappe scored seven times over Los Blancos’ last four games. He started the surge with four goals in Los Blancos’ 4-3 win over Olympiacos in their last Champions League appearance Nov. 26 in Piraeus, Greece.
He scored Madrid’s lone goal in a 1-1 La Liga draw with Girona on Nov. 30 in Girona, Spain. He also scored twice in a 3-0 La Liga win over Athletic Club on Wednesday in Bilbao.
Los Blancos will host the Sky Blues at 3 p.m. EST Wednesday at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
