Feb. 2 (UPI) — Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, was reported missing on Sunday.

The Today co-anchor issued a statement that aired on the show Monday.

“On behalf of our family, I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and messages of support. Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom,” she said.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, has “some physical ailments, but does not have cognitive issues,” according to her family.

She lives near Tucson, Ariz. and was last seen near her home Saturday evening.

“We’ve pretty much just thrown everything at this as we can,” said Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos at a press conference.

Officials are also investigating the possibility of foul play.

“The scene at the house also has some concerns for us,” Nanos said.
