March 11 (UPI) — The Baltimore Ravens agreed to a four-year, $112 million contract with defensive end Trey Hendrickson, a source familiar with the deal told UPI on Wednesday.
The agreement with the former Cincinnati Bengals star is worth a maximum of $120 million and includes $60 million fully guaranteed. Hendrickson’s pact with the Ravens was announced less than 24 hours the Las Vegas Raiders said the Ravens “backed out of” a trade agreement for edge rusher Maxx Crosby.
That agreement, which came Friday, would have netted the Raiders a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and a first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft in exchange for the five-time Pro Bowl selection.
Hendrickson, 31, logged 17.5 sacks during each of his 2023 and 2024 campaigns for the Bengals. He registered just four in 2025, when he was limited to seven games because of a core muscle injury.
The four-time Pro Bowl selection and 2024 first-team All-Pro signed a four-year, $60 million contract when he initially joined the Bengals in 2021. Hendrickson went on to sign a one-year, $21 million extension in 2023. He restructured that deal again last off-season to receive a $14 million raise, pushing his 2025 salary to $30 million.
Former Seattle Seahawks edge rusher Boye Mafe, who agreed to a contract earlier this week, Shemar Stewart and Myles Murphy are among the defensive ends under contract with the Bengals in 2026.
Hendrickson is set to join a Ravens edge rush group that features Nnamdi Madubuike and Mike Green, among others.
NFL free agency officially starts at 4 p.m. EDT Wednesday, the start of the new league year.
