On October 3, an email sent to hundreds of Harvard students warned that they would be shot on October 4.
The email’s unknown sender threatened to come to the school’s campus and shoot.
According to Reuters, the authenticity of the threat has not been verified, but the Harvard University Police Department is increasing campus security for the weekend. The FBI has also been called in.
In December, the campus was evacuated after a student made a bomb threat in order to get out of taking a final exam. “That student was later arrested and is facing federal charges [for] making a hoax bomb threat.”
