Trumpocrats Demand Sanders ‘Immediately Retract His Endorsement’ of ‘Lying, Globalist Hillary Clinton’

Following the revelation that Hillary Clinton privately told foreign bankers that her “dream” is to enact “open trade and open borders,” the Trumpocrats PAC, run by a former Bernie Sanders supporter, is calling on the Vermont Senator to “immediately retract his endorsement.”

“We now know that she’s been hiding her advocacy for open borders and open trade… positions that would put an end to our Republic,” said Christian Rickers, spokesman for the Trumpocrats PAC, a Super PAC representing Democrats and Independents that formed to support of Trump after Sanders lost the Democratic primary.

“We call on Bernie Sanders to immediately retract his endorsement of Lying Globalist Hillary Clinton,” Rickers told Breitbart in an exclusive statement from the group.

Rickers is a lifelong Democrat who has never supported a Republican for president. He was a 2012 delegate for President Barack Obama to the Democratic National Committee, a supporter of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders in the 2016 Democratic primaries, and served as a former staffer to Clinton’s running mate, Sen. Tim Kaine.

Clinton’s comments proclaiming her full-throated support for open borders emerged in the latest WikiLeaks release that made public partial transcripts of some of Clinton’s paid speeches.

“My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders,” Clinton told foreign bankers behind closed doors.

In a 2015 interview with Vox, Sanders denounced open borders as a “Koch brothers proposal” that would essentially amount to “doing away with the concept of a nation state.”

Sanders said “open borders” is “a Koch brothers proposal… which says essentially there is no United States… It would make everybody in America poorer—you’re doing away with the concept of a nation state, and I don’t think there’s any country in the world that believes in that. If you believe in a nation state or in a country called the United States or UK or Denmark or any other country, you have an obligation in my view to do everything we can to help poor people. What right-wing people in this country would love is an open-border policy. Bring in all kinds of people, work for $2 or $3 an hour, that would be great for them. I don’t believe in that. I think we have to raise wages in this country.”

Based on Sanders’ argument, Clinton’s “dream” is to enact a policy, which—as Sanders has explained—would allow corporations to “bring in all kinds of people [who] work for $2 or $3 an hour” and “would make everybody in America poorer”.

“Hillary Clinton is a complete fraud,” Rickers wrote on behalf of the Trumpocrats. “Her private comments and deeply held beliefs are the complete opposite of her campaign promises.”

“We also call on Mrs. Clinton to release all transcripts of her pay to play speeches to corporate and foreign interests,” Rickers added.
