World Reacts to Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump Coronavirus Diagnosis

The news early Friday morning that President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump had tested positive for coronavirus drew immediate reaction from around the world.

As Breitbart News reported, the president said he and the First Lady will be going into their “quarantine and recovery process immediately.”

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi was quick to wish his “friend Donald Trump, first lady Melania quick recovery from Covid-19.”

India’s President Ram Nath Kovind followed:

Pakistan’s leader Imran Khan responded with his best wishes for Donald Trump and Melania:

AP reports Russian President Vladimir Putin is extending wishes of a speedy recovery to both, expressing “sincere support in this difficult moment,” according to a statement released by the Kremlin on Friday.

The Kremlin says Putin sent Trump a telegram saying, “I hope that your inherent vitality, good spirits and optimism will help you cope with the dangerous virus.”

At the same time Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara both offered support to their friends President Trump and First Lady Melania, wishing them both a speedy recovery:
