President Donald Trump awarded Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi the Legion of Merit this week, one of the highest U.S. military honors, in recognition of his work turning India into an emerging superpower and boosting ties between the U.S. and his administration.

Xi Jinping Seeks to Rebuild, and Dominate, Frayed BRICS Coalition

Chinese dictator Xi Jinping gave a lengthy teleconferenced address to the BRICS group of emerging economies on Tuesday, making a bid to restore and dominate what Chinese state media described as a tottering coalition riven by unreasonable animosity toward China from two of the other members, India and Brazil.

Outraged India Calls Erdogan Kashmir Remarks at U.N. ‘Completely Unacceptable’

India’s permanent representative to the United Nations (U.N.), T. S. Tirumurti, on Wednesday condemned Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s speech to the U.N. General Assembly (UNGA) in which he called for a multilateral resolution to India’s border dispute with Pakistan in Kashmir, labelling Erdogan’s remarks as “gross interference” and “completely unacceptable.”

China Claims India’s Modi, with 77% Approval Rating, May Lose Prime Ministership

China’s propaganda offensive against India has intensified as tensions along the border mount. On Wednesday, China’s state-run Global Times wrote an op-ed asserting that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in deep political trouble due to economic contraction, the coronavirus pandemic, and of course his unwise decision to pick a fight with mighty China.
