Elon Musk shared a photo of himself dining with President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump, adding that “2026 is going to be amazing.”
“Had a lovely dinner last night with @POTUS and @FLOTUS,” Musk wrote in a post on X on Sunday. “2026 is going to be amazing!”
Musk’s post included a photo of himself sitting at a table with the president and the first lady.
Breitbart News’s Nick Gilbertson reported in September that Trump and Musk were seen sitting together and shaking hands at a tribute service for Turning Point USA Founder Charlie Kirk, after Kirk was assassinated.
The moment between Trump and Musk came after Musk had left the Trump administration after leading the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Shortly after Musk’s departure from the administration, he “levied attacks on Trump, sparking a public strain in their relationship”:

The men were seen talking as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth took the stage with his tribute to Kirk. At the end of Hegseth’s speech, they shook hands before Musk left the seat.
Musk’s attacks against Trump came in response to Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill, which Musk described as being “pork-filled” and “a disgusting abomination.” While feuding with Trump, Musk also claimed that the reason files relating to convicted child sex predator Jeffrey Epstein’s client list had “not been made public” was because Trump was “in the Epstein files.”
At the time, Republicans claimed that Musk’s attacks against the One Big, Beautiful Bill were “due to the legislation’s scrapping of green tax credits.”
