Brandeis U. Releases ‘Oppressive Language List’ so Students Don’t Say Naughty Words Like ‘Policeman’

The Prevention, Advocacy & Resource Center (PARC) at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, has released a bizarre “Oppressive Language List” urging students to refrain from saying certain words and phrases that have been deemed offensive. The list includes “policeman” as well as “crazy” and “walk-in.” The list even calls on students to stop saying “trigger warning,” a leftist favorite on campus.

Tennessee Tech Profs Attack Colleague for Advising Turning Point USA Group

Two professors at Tennessee Tech University have attacked one of their colleagues for being the faculty adviser for the school’s Turning Point USA (TPUSA) student group. The professors have also lashed out at conservative students on campus, calling them “racist,” and claiming that they seek to “harass, threaten, intimidate, and terrorize” people.

Anti-Socialism Memorial Mysteriously Vanishes at Sam Houston State U.

The Young Conservatives of Texas at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, say that their anti-socialism display on campus was stolen overnight. The university claims to have no information about the memorial of 1,000 flags the students say they set up in memory of the more than 94 million victims of international socialism.

SUNY Geneseo Suspends Education Student for Saying ‘A Man Is A Man, A Woman Is A Woman’

State University of New York (SUNY) Geneseo has suspended an education student from required teaching programs after he expressed his views on biology in a social media post. In one video, the student says that “a man is a man,” and “a woman is a woman.” The university states that the student’s conservative social media posts call into question his ability to “maintain a classroom environment protecting the mental and emotional well-being of all of [his] students.”

Free Speech Org FIRE Blasts Syracuse U. with ‘Lifetime Censorship Award’

The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) has issued Syracuse University a “Lifetime Censorship Award” — a dubious award reserved for colleges that appear so frequently on the organization’s annual “worst list,” that “they deserve special recognition.” FIRE’s criticism of the university is based on its “unashamed assault on expressive freedoms that has continued despite a pandemic, a new chancellor, lawsuits, and countless FIRE letters, blog posts, and press releases.”
