Texas Leads Legal Coalition Against Obama Transgender Bathroom Rules for Schools

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is fighting the Obama Administration’s executive dictate that Texas schools must let transgender students, or those who identify with the other sex on a given day, to use the bathroom of the opposite sex. Paxton went to court on Friday and led a 13-state coalition and argued for a preliminary injunction to stop the federal government overreach.

Texas AG Fires Off Letter to Fort Worth ISD Over Transgender Bathroom Policy

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has fired off a letter to the president of Fort Worth Independent School District (ISD) saying he has a “strong concern” that the school district’s “Transgender Student Guidelines” violates parents rights to information. He also said the policies are motivated by a misguided view of federal law.

Texas AG to Target: Show Me Your Safety Policies

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sent a letter to the chairman of the Target Corporation asking him for “the full text of Target’s safety policies.” The AG wrote, “As chief lawyer and law enforcement officer for the State of Texas, I ask that you provide the full text of Target’s safety policies regarding the protection of women and children from those who would use the cover of Target’s restroom policy for nefarious purposes.”
