Texas CPS Visits Home of Mom Who Hosted ‘Chickenpox Party’

A Texas mom received a visit by Child Protective Services (CPS) for hosting a “chickenpox party.” Amanda Witt believes that it is healthier for a child to catch chickenpox early than to be vaccinated for it. The mother from Plano, Texas, moderates a private Facebook page for 300 plus parents who hold the same belief. She said, “When one child has chickenpox, we promote playdates throughout,” she told the local CBS affiliate.

War on Christmas Hits Small Texas Town

The War on Christmas has hit a small East Texas town. Residents of Orange, Texas, are furious that a nativity scene has been taken down after 30 years. The city manager decided to remove it from city property after atheists demanded a display of their own.

Opponents of a Texas Arabic Immersion Magnet School (AIMS) call the pre-K and kindergarten program “civilizational jihad.” The program was imposed by the largest school district in the state, and the seventh largest school district in the United States. Opponents say that Americans simply do not know what is happening in this school, and in America.

Texas Imam Forced to Resign for Agreeing with Trump

The Texas Imam who publicly agreed with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s suggestion that America set-up a “total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States” until further investigation can be done, has been forced to resign. The Imam also said that more than 100 Houston, Texas, area Imams have been asked to leave because of a “political agenda.”

Texas Drops Request for Restraining Order in Syrian Refugee Resettlement Lawsuit

The Attorney General of Texas has withdrawn his request for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) against the federal government to block them from placing a group of Syrian refugees in Texas. The move comes after Attorney General Ken Paxton claimed the federal government provided as yet unspecified information about the refugees who are set to arrive in Texas.

Officials for the state stopped the abortion provider from receiving these funds after numerous undercover videos showed Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of baby parts and tissue. The state’s halt of dollars includes millions in federal dollars it distributes, as well as hundreds of thousands of state dollars.

Dallas Mayor Admits Fear of White People

Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings spoke out against Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s order to state agencies not to participate in Syrian refugee resettlement programs of the federal government. Abbott issued an order last week stopping Texas’ participation and he urged the White House to stop its programs.

Hundreds of pro-Syrian refugee activists took to the streets of Austin, Texas, this weekend to protest Governor Greg Abbott’s order to refuse the resettlement of Syrian refugees into Texas. One week ago, the Texas governor ordered state agencies not to participate in any federal resettlement programs. He also urged the White House to stop its program of bringing un-vetted Syrian refugees into America. Abbott partnered with at least thirty other governors in refusing the refugees from Syria.

Top Texas officials named 11 of 15 appointees to the newly created public education Commission on Next Generation Assessments and Accountability, authorized through the passage of House Bill 2804 during the 84th legislative session. The short-term 15-member commission’s sole purpose is to write a report that develops and makes recommendations “for new systems of student assessment and public school accountability” which is due by September 1, 2016.

Texas Governor Strips State Grant Funding from Sanctuary City Sheriffs

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced a new plan to strip state grant funding from county sheriffs with a Sanctuary City policy of not honoring ICE detainers. The move follows Dallas County Sheriff Lupe Valdez’s order that criminal illegal aliens in her jail will be evaluated on a case by case basis to determine if ICE detainers will be enforced.
