Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Congress about the dangers Israel will face if Iran is allowed to build nuclear weapons this morning. The majority of tweets on social media were positive, but many took the opportunity to call Netanyahu a “terrorist” and condemn the existence of Israel.

Thousands of Russians March in Honor of Slain Opposition Leader in Moscow

An opposition march in Moscow evolved into a memorial march for opposition leader Boris Nemtsov, who was gunned down blocks from the Kremlin on Friday. Thousands of Russians streamed through Moscow to show Russian President Vladimir Putin they are not afraid to voice their opinions and wish for a “Russia without Putin.” Images of the march flooded social media.

Russian Propaganda Claims Ukraine Killed American Ex-Porn Star, Who Is Alive

The Russian propaganda machine is desperate to discredit Ukraine and will use anyone to achieve its goal. The latest victim is ex-porn star Sasha Grey, whose obituary was posted on Russian social media sites. The Ukrainian army, the post claimed, kidnapped, raped, and butchered her in revenge for her work nursing wounded pro-Russian soldiers.

PEGIDA Anti-Islamist Movement Gains Momentum in Spain

PEGIDA, the acronym for the German civil society group Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamization of the West, has found fertile ground for growth across Europe, from Norway to Bulgaria. The movement appears to be eyeing its chapter in Spain as the most likely to grow into the tens of thousands in membership as it did in Germany, however, where Germans are expected to join the nation’s inaugural PEGIDA march.

Influential Muslims Condemn Latest Charlie Hebdo Cover

A number of prominent imams and clerics spoke out against the newest cover of Charlie Hebdo, which shows a crying Mohammed with a sign that said “Je Suis Charlie.” Hate preacher Anjem Choudary called it an “act of war.” Lesser known self-proclaimed teachers of Islam used social media to condemn the cover. These names may not be familiar, but they have between 3,000 and 36,000 followers on Twitter. They are followed by many of the Twitter accounts that Breitbart News regularly publishes to expose the insanity of radical Islamists.

ISIS Supporter Hacks Websites of Towns Near Paris

While officials have not demonstrably linked the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) to the Charlie Hebdo massacre, websites of a number of towns in France fell victims to a cyber-attack replacing the content of their sties with Islamic State flag in apparent celebration of the mass shooting.

Je Suis Charlie: Thousands of Parisians Show Support for Charlie Hebdo

Two gunmen slaughtered twelve people in broad daylight at the headquarters of Charlie Hedbo, a satirical newspaper in Paris. The gunmen targeted the cartoonists over the publication of cartoon images of the Prophet Mohammed. Instead of submitting to terrorists, Parisians marched into the streets Wednesday night to show solidarity and support for the publication.

‘Allah is the Greatest’: Islamists Celebrated Charlie Hebdo Attack on Social Media

Radical Islamists and supporters of jihad on social media used Twitter to celebrate the three gunmen who killed twelve people and wounded nearly a dozen others at the headquarters of Charlie Hebdo in Paris, France. The attack, a retaliation against the magazine for publishing satirical images of the Prophet Muhammad, received support and justification. All of these accounts talk about jihad and the Islamic State regularly, interrupting their ISIS updates to praise the attack.

Shanghai authorities came under heavy criticism after a stampede killed thirty-six people on New Year’s Eve. Family members of the deceased slammed the government for skimping on security at an event that attracts thousands of people. But now these family members claim the Chinese government is censoring and monitoring their moves.
