NGOs: World Has Neglected Survivors of Islamic State Sex Slavery

The international community has abandoned and forgotten survivors from the Yazidi religious minority group in the Middle East, including women and girls who escaped imprisonment and rape by Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) jihadists, according to Amnesty International, a human rights watchdog group.

Yazidi artist Ammar Salim, 31, uses his talent to show the world what the Yazidis suffer under the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/Daesh). His paintings tell the story of the Yazidi massacres. “I want to connect all that happened, to explain about the Yazidi genocide,” he explained to Rudaw.
