Testifying at the George Zimmerman trial on Wednesday, the prosecution’s star witness, 19-year-old Rachel Jeantel, who was allegedly on the phone with Trayvon Martin just before he was shot by Zimmerman, admitted on the witness stand that she had changed her testimony on the identity of the man screaming on the 911 call during the scuffle between Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman.
In her original testimony, she said, “It could be Trayvon …. It could be, like I said, I don’t know, but it could be. The dude sound kind of like Trayvon, Trayvon do got that soft voice, and that baby voice sometimes. So it could be, I don’t know, you know, it’s not.” Jeantel testified today that she believes it was Martin’s voice on the 911 call.
