White House Throws Durbin Under The Bus

After the number-two Senate Democrat, Sen. Dick Durbin posted on his Facebook page Wednesday morning that supposedly a House GOP leader told Obama he “cannot even stand to look at” him during the negotiation to end the government shutdown, Press Secretary Jay Carney knocked down the tale:

Carney: “My understanding is that, again, from participants in the meeting, that that didn’t happen.”
