Boston Globe: Obama Needs to Give Another Speech

It looks as though President Obama's media enablers are as out of idea as Obama is. In a Friday editorial, The Boston Globe's Scot Lehigh writes that he believes that one of the few remaining ways Obama can turn his failing presidency around, and save his disastrous health care bill, is to do what he has done a gajillion times before: give a speech. Byron York: 'Sympathetic Journalists All Knew Cancellations Coming'

In a Friday editorial mainly taking aim at President Obama and Democrat lawmakers, The Washington Examiner's Byron York argues that the wave of millions of insurance cancellations were in fact not a surprise for many who are now claiming it was. They knew, knowingly lied and they were not the only ones. York points out that "sympathetic journalists" also knew what was coming and remained silent. Nov 15, 2013 5:40 AM PT

Top 5 Reasons 'The Right Stuff' Is a Masterpiece

For its 30th anniversary, Warner Brothers has just released a fantastic Bluray package of writer/director Philip Kaufman's "The Right Stuff" (1983). The transfer is absolutely perfect, as is the 5.1 sound mix. The set also includes a separate disc with all kinds of special features, including a terrific "making of" documentary and a one-hour PBS special about astronaut/senator John Glenn. Obama Slams Media: You Guys Don't Write About What Goes Right

In a rambling and at times incoherent press conference, President Obama blamed his staff, government red tape, the government IT procurement process, and himself for the ObamaCare rollout debacle. Near the end of the painful hour, the president attacked the media for not writing about what has gone right. Nov 14, 2013 10:11 AM PT

CBO: Insurance Cancellations Just Beginning

Dozens of times (that we know of) over his campaign to pass ObamaCare and to win re-election, President Obama lied to the American people about being able to keep the health insurance they like. But that lie has only been replaced with another: the lie that these cancellations will be limited to the 5% of Americans in the individual marketplace -- when the truth is that these cancellations have only just begun. Twitter: President Obama First Follower of @IHateN**gers

President Obama's verified Twitter account is one of only 94 followers of a Twitter account called @Ihaten**gers. On top of that, President Obama was somehow the very first account to follow the offensive account. Nov 14, 2013 5:56 AM PT

ObamaCare Cancellation to Enrollee Ratio: 50 to 1

Though the number is estimated to eventually hit as high as 10 to 15 million, right now the number of insurance policies canceled due to ObamaCare is 5 million. Wednesday, the Obama administration claimed that 106,185 Americans enrolled in ObamaCare. Except, according to the White House, those are not actual enrollments. Some have only "selected a marketplace plans." Orwellian nonsense aside, that is still somewhere around a 50-to-1 ratio of cancellations to enrollees. Nov 13, 2013 1:41 PM PT

New ObamaCare Spin: Healthy Paying Less For Insurance Is 'Discrimination'

Thursday, technocrat Ezra Klein was on a rampage over at the Washington Post to save ObamaCare. After spending three years covering up the fact that ObamCare will devastate the individual insurance market, Klein is now trying to convince skittish Democrats that this is a good thing. So shrill is Klein, he is now trying to claim that charging the young and/or healthy less for insurance is "discrimination." Nov 13, 2013 11:52 AM PT

WaPo Lectures: Thanksgiving Kills Mother Earth

In what reads like something a satirist would compose to mock the hypocritical killjoys who infect the gaping wound that is the environmental movement, the Washington Post's Brian Palmer devotes nearly a thousand words (and who knows how much carbon-based energy exhaust) to hector Americans for celebrating a holiday that he claims is akin to a toxic waste dump. Poll: ObamaCare Sinks Congressional Democrats

A Quinnipiac poll released Wednesday proves beyond any doubt that the rolling ObamaCare debacle is exacting a toll on congressional Democrats that is every bit as devastating as the collapse in Barack Obama's poll numbers. Less than 45 days ago, Democrats enjoyed a nine point lead in the generic congressional ballot, 43-34%. Today that number is tied at 39-39%. Nov 13, 2013 10:25 AM PT

Worst Yet to Come: Media's ObamaCare Cover Up Marches On

The media deserve zero points for covering the rolling catastrophe that is ObamaCare. It is not that I don't give credit where it's, it is that the media have no choice. The smoking guns of lies and incompetence are everywhere, and can't be ignored. But the media are still engaged in a conspiracy of silence to cover up for the fact that the worst of ObamaCare is yet to come. Nov 13, 2013 9:14 AM PT

WaPo: ObamaCare Site Unlikely to Be Fixed By November 30

To take some of the media heat off, the White House created its own November 30 deadline to get the federal ObamaCare exchange repaired. If it is not, millions who will have their health insurance cancelled at the end of the year, will not be able to re-enroll in time. Tuesday, the Washington Post reported that HealthCare.gov is unlikely to be fully functional by then. Nov 13, 2013 7:51 AM PT

Only 1% of Massachusetts Cancellations Have Enrolled for ObamaCare

The Boston Herald reports that ObamaCare and the president's broken promise have already cost 150,000 Bay Staters their health insurance plans. But of those 150,0000, only 549 are in the Massachusetts Health Connector to be re-enrolled on time. Even that small number are not officially enrolled. Nov 13, 2013 7:03 AM PT
