Michael Moore: ‘Only Safe Place For Guns Is In A Woman’s Uterus’

Filmmaker and anti-gun advocate Michael Moore suggested that Republicans are so extreme that they would only regulate guns if they were part of women’s anatomy.

Republicans “say that you have the right to regulate a woman’s uterus but not guns?…I think the only safe place for guns is in a woman’s uterus; then they would be regulated by our Republican Congress!”

Moore was asked his view of the 2016 election as he was attending the Oct. 2 New York Film Festival, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The director of Where To Invade Next continued on his view of the election:

The candidate [who will win] will appeal to the issues that women care about, that young people care about, and acknowledge that black lives matter and there are people of color in this country that have made it what it is. When they debated the GOP [and say] ‘The American people,’ they’re thinking of the white guy, or the angry white guy, and that’s just not America anymore. That America is over. It is more of the melting pot. …To just ignore that [demographic change]  or to not address that or to say that you have the right to regulate a woman’s uterus but not guns? It’s like, I think the only safe place for guns is in a woman’s uterus; then they would be regulated by our Republican congress!

Moore said current GOP frontrunner Donald Trump “can’t win” with people of color, women, or millennials.

“That’s 79 percent of the country!” he said. “He can’t win the majority of any of those blocks.”

However, Rep. Jim Jordan – chairman of the conservative House Freedom Caucus – told young people at a Young America’s Foundation event Saturday that the real “radical position” is being taken by members of Congress who still want to fund Planned Parenthood with taxpayer dollars.

CNSNews.com reports Jordan spoke about the recent investigative videos exposing Planned Parenthood’s apparent practice of altering abortion procedures in order to harvest intact body-parts of unborn babies for sale.

Jordan responded to a question from a young person:

They’ve got the radical position: they say ‘No, no, no we insist, in spite of what we saw in those videos. We insist that your tax money continue to go to Planned Parenthood…and we insist on that so much, that’s even more important to us than funding our troops, our veterans, and frankly, women’s health issues.’ That’s their position.

I’ll debate that any day, but our problem – this is something we have to figure out now in the midst of this leadership election and who’s going to be the next speaker. The number one thing we have to do is communicate that we have to elevate the debate and make a full commitment to take the argument to the other side.

A credentialed forensic company has confirmed that the videos, produced by the Center for Medical Progress, are authentic and have not been manipulated or “deceptively edited,” as Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards and the organization’s supporters have claimed.
