HOUSTON, Texas — A Muslim man was shot as he was making his way into a mosque in Houston early Sunday morning. It is reported that he has undergone surgery and is expected to live.
ABC13 Houston reported that the incident happened near Bellaire. The surrounding area is very multicultural.
The local news outlet reported that a spokesperson for the mosque, Mohammed Imaduddin, said the doctor was attending 5:30 a.m. prayers when he was approached by three masked people who were on foot.
Authorities are asking Houstonians for help in finding the attackers.
