Report: Ex-White House Flack Jay Carney in Talks with MSNBC

Although Jay Carney recently said in an interview that he hasn’t made any decisions about his next move, sources inside MSNBC are saying the former White House flack is in talks for a contributor position there.

“I’m not going to go back to being a journalist full time,” Carney told the New York Times.  I’m not going to disappear from view.”

If the Daily Caller’s sources are correct – he’ll almost be disappearing from view:

Sources inside MSNBC say former White House Spokesman Jay Carney, who recently resigned from his post at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, will likely be headed to MSNBC.

Jay Carney’s career in journalism prior to his job as Obama’s press secretary, includes reporting for Time in Moscow, and being Washington Bureau Chief for Newsweek.

And now, after spending three long years spinning for Obama at the White House, this formerly serious journalist is reduced to spinning for Obama at MSNBC – the propaganda arm of the Obama White House – as a part time “contributor.”

Pretty darn sad, if true.
