Four Dead, One Wounded During Shootout Between Families at Birthday Party

Four people are dead and one person wounded after a shootout between families at a birthday party in Texas.

CNN reports that during a birthday party for a one-year-old held in Taft, Texas, a gunfight broke between two families that left four people dead and one wounded. The four deceased were identified as 62-year-old Juan Espinoza Sr., 20-year-old Juan Sandoval III, 22-year-old Jeremy Sandoval, and 25-year-old Nicky Sandoval.

Forty-three-year-old Juan Espinoza Jr. was wounded and taken to the hospital for treatment.

The suspects in the shooting are 20-year-old Ronnie Rodriguez Jr.and 37-year-old Ronnie Rodriguez Sr.

Ronnie Jr. is in custody.

WPVI reports that shooting followed an argument at the party. No other details have been released.

The town of Taft is located about 25 miles north of Corpus Christi, Texas.
