Playboy Mansion Flooded by Water Main Break

The infamous Playboy Mansion, known for its wild parties, got wet on Sunday, as it was one of 20 homes to be affected by a water-main break on Sunset Boulevard.

A 12-inch cast iron main ruptured around 4 pm on Sunday on the 10200 block of Sunset Boulevard, just two days after another water main broke during rush hour on West Hollywood’s Sunset Strip on Friday, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Los Angeles already suffers from terrible traffic conditions, and Friday’s break occurred during rush hour, resulting in the closure of at least one lane of Sunset Boulevard, between Olive Drive and La Cienega Boulevard, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Those lanes are expected to be closed until Tuesday night.

Repairs for Sunday’s break were expected to be completed early Monday morning, but as of 7 am, Sunset Boulevard remained closed between Charing Cross Road and Mapleton Drive, according to ABC 7. While the ruptured main has been repaired, workers reportedly still need to re-pave and back-fill the road.
