State Dept: We Won't 'Be Restricted By Borders' Fighting ISIS

State Department Deputy Spokesperson Marie Harf vowed the United States “will not be restricted by borders or boundaries when we talk about how to take the fight to ISIS” on Thursday’s “Now with Alex Wagner” on MSNBC.

“We will hold accountable people who hurt or harm Americans, we have been clear about that, that also means that we will not be restricted by borders or boundaries when we talk about how to take the fight to ISIS,” she said. And, “we are having a conversation, and actively looking at options for where else we can confront this group, how we can degrade their abilities to attack there, and also possibly to attack us, and in the end, really defeat this organization.”

She concluded, “We’re looking at a range of options right now, and I don’t want to get ahead of that process, but the president has said, he’s been very clear, that we will go to any length and not be restricted by borders to make sure that we take the fight to ISIS and that our people are safe.”
