Flashback: ISIS Message Board Encourages 'Lone Wolf' Times Square Attack

On September 16, there were multiple media reports of an ISIS sympathizers message boards encouraging “lone wolf” terrorists to attack Times Square.

In posts titled, “To the Lone Wolves in America: How to Make a Bomb in Your Kitchen, to Create Scenes of Horror in Tourist Spots and Other Targets,” lone wolves are encouraged to bomb New York.

The post included bomb-making instructions which is notable because of today’s announcement from Iraq’s prime minister that captured ISIS militants told Iraqi intelligence agents of a plot to attack subways in America.

Multiple Obama administration officials have denied knowing in advance about any plot involving mass transit to attack America’s largest city.
