Van Jones: Palin Had Democrats 'Shaking in Our Boots' with '08 Convention Speech

Tuesday night on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” Van Jones told host Don Lemon and guest Dana Loesch that Sarah Palin intimidated the Democratic Party with her 2008 speech at the Republican National Convention.

“Sarah Palin, people forget, she had the Democratic Party shaking in our boots in 2008,” Jones said. “She came out, she gave that speech at the convention that was hands-down one of the best convention speeches, not by a woman, by anybody in 2008. People were running for the hills, and she’s somehow managed to tear apart her own legacy.”

Before the segment ended, Lemon said that whatever the narrative is, there is at least one thing he likes about Palin.

“I do have to say, listen, I don’t know if she’s brilliant or whatever it is, but what I like about Sarah Palin, the one thing I like is that she will answer your questions, she will answer every single question you ask, she will stand there and answer, and many politicians don’t do that,” Lemon said.
