Lena Dunham and Kim Kardashian are among this year’s Inspiration Impact Honorees at Variety‘s biannual Power of Women: New York luncheon on April 24. The event recognizes the philanthropic efforts of women in the entertainment industry.

Other honorees include actresses Glenn Close, Whoopi Goldberg, and Rachel Weisz.

Variety‘s Power of Women Initiative has become a shining example of what is possible when committed women with a voice stand up for worthy causes and harness their power to give back and inspire others to do the same,” publisher Michelle Sobrino said in a statement.

Each of the women will be honored for their work with various charity organizations. Dunham will be recognized for her work with Girls Educational & Mentoring Services (GEMS), a New York-based organization working to support young female victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking. Kardashian will be honored for her work in support of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

“The charitable work done by Glenn, Lena, Whoopi, Rachel and Kim helps so many people in diverse and meaningful ways; they each offer an inspiring example of the entertainment community’s ability to make a difference,” said Lisa Paulsen, president and CEO of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, a sponsor of the event.

Close, Goldberg, and Weisz will be honored for their work in support of Bring Change2Mind, Figure Skating in Harlem, and the Opportunity Network, respectively.

“Lifetime is proud to renew our partnership with Variety to honor the amazing contributions made by women both professionally and philanthropically,” A&E Networks CEO Nancy Dubuc said in a statement. “The Power of Women event is a wonderful celebration that brings attention to the accomplishments that women make for the betterment of our world and all of us at Lifetime salute their inspirational journeys.”

Honorees at 2014’s Power of Women event in Beverly Hills included actresses Jane Fonda, Reese Witherspoon, and Viola Davis, American Idol judge and singer Jennifer Lopez, and Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley.
