The Anti-Defamation League has offered a $2,500 reward to help police catch perpetrators of the recent vandalism of a Jewish fraternity at the University of California Davis, which was found Saturday morning spray-painted with swastikas.

The reward, reported by, is similar to rewards that the ADL has offered in other cases of anti-Jewish hate crimes in the past. The organization fights prejudice against Jews and other groups, and is cooperating with local police in Davis.

The vandalism occurred two days after the UC Davis student senate voted to urge the university to divest from companies doing business in Israel. As Jewish students left the meeting in protest, Muslim students shouted, “Allahu Akbar!” at them.
