Sept. 17 (UPI) — Netflix is giving a glimpse of the new docuseries Tyson.
The streaming service shared a trailer for the four-part documentary Thursday featuring former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson.
Tyson will see the six-time world heavyweight champion look back on his life and career, from his difficult childhood in Brooklyn, N.Y., to his much-hyped 2024 fight against Jake Paul.
In the trailer, Tyson, 60, recalls being “addicted to chaos” during the height of his fame and controversy, while his children suggest that “inside, there’s a broken guy just trying to be a good father.”
“Most people are too scared to look at their own lives objectively, wanting to paint themselves as the hero of their own story,” Tyson told Netflix’s Tudum. “But if we are truly objective, we know we can never be the hero in our own story. We have to be able to face the man in the mirror — taking the good with the bad — to give a full account of our contributions in this life.”
Tyson is directed by Floyd Russ (Untold, American Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombing) and premieres Oct. 13 on Netflix.
