Scott Brown Cutting More Ties to Boston

Former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown appears to be severing more ties to his old home in Boston. A spokesman for the Boston-based law firm Nixon Peabody has confirmed that Brown no longer works there.

Brown’s departure was confirmed both by the law firm as well as Brown’s aides.

In a statement to the press, Andrew Glincher, the firm’s CEO and managing partner, said, “We enjoyed having Scott as a member of our team. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

This is another significant move since Brown announced in December that he is exploring a possible bid for the Senate in the Granite State.

The one-time Republican Senator sold his home in Massachusetts and bought a home in New Hampshire late last year. Almost immediately rumors began flying that he intended to try to run against Democrat Senator Jean Shaheen this year.

The end of his association with Nixon Peabody is no surprise as even in December Glincher said that Brown’s tenure with the firm would likely be short lived after he sold his Massachusetts home.
