The Left appears increasingly flustered over events in the Middle East, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his Likud party’s declaration of victory in Tuesday’s elections isn’t likely to help matters much.
Talking to HuffPost Politics, Barney Frank insists both Bibi and Senate Republicans just want war with Iran.
Former Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Senate Republicans really just want to go to war with Iran.
“It’s true of Benjamin Netanyahu and it’s true of them, they want war. This notion of ‘Hey we don’t like this deal, we want a better deal.’ Well how are you going to get one?” Frank said Tuesday in an interview on HuffPost Live. “First of all, they make it harder for the president to get a deal.”
Meanwhile, via Twitter, former Obama adviser David Axelrod couldn’t manage to hide his anger and resentment at Bibi’s win.
Tightness of exits in Israel suggests Bibi's shameful 11th hour demagoguery may have swayed enough votes to save him. But at what cost?

Axelrod’s tweet opened the door to Republicans and conservatives determined to extract some enjoyment from Axelrod’s displeasure. Below are just two examples:

@davidaxelrod Not sure. How much did Obama spend feeding State Department money to defeat him?
