First Lady Melania Trump Mourns Charlie Kirk: ‘Charlie’s Children Will Be Raised with Stories Instead of Memories’

First lady Melania Trump is mourning the loss of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who was murdered by a gunman while speaking at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

“Charlie’s children will be raised with stories instead of memories, photographs instead of laughter, and silence where their father’s voice should have echoed,” Melania Trump wrote on X.

“Charlie Kirk’s life should serve as a symbolic reminder that compassionate awareness elevates family, love, and country.”

While speaking before a crowd on the campus of Utah Valley University, Kirk was fatally shot in the neck by a gunman who the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) says remains at large.

Kirk was rushed to Timpanogos Regional Hospital in Lehi, Utah, where he died from his injuries. He leaves behind his wife Erika and their two young children.
