As the Houston Astros continue their battle on the diamond for the World Series title, Astros Manager A.J. Hinch allegedly took it to the patrons of a hotel bar after game time.
Hinch was reportedly at the team hotel in Pasadena, California, after the Astros lost Game 1 to the L.A. Dodgers when words were apparently exchanged, according to TMZ Sports.
According to witnesses who spoke to TMZ, Hinch was having drinks when other patrons began needling him about the game. According to the report, Hinch then “snapped” and started screaming expletives.
TMZ also spoke to the Pasadena police who admitted that officers were dispatched to the bar to “keep the peace.”
No arrests were made.
Hinch, though, denied the veracity of the report.
“There was no altercation,” Hinch said, according to Bleacher Report’s Scott Miller. “It’s a shame I get asked about nonsense and fabrication and have to respond on a national stage.”
