The Dolphins traded their starting quarterback on Friday. Leading many to speculate whether the Dolphins will sign former 49er QB and noted anthem protester Colin Kaepernick.

It’s unknown whether the Dolphins have any interest in the quarterback. However, according to at least one report, the quarterback has interest in the Dolphins.

According to a source to CBS’ Jason LaCanfora, Kaepernick is “training hard and “ready to play.”

While Kaepernick may want Miami, it would be at least somewhat surprising if Miami wanted Kaepernick. The original anthem protester drew much scorn from Dolphins fans and Miami media, after he wore a Fidel Castro shirt to a press conference.

Miami has a heavily Cuban population that does not have fond memories of the dictator who ruled the island nation for 60 years.

Popular Miami sportswriter Armando Salguero said in January that he would rather have “Satan at QB,” as opposed to Kaepernick. While Lucifer’s availability remains somewhat of a mystery, the Dolphins will have to trade for, or draft a quarterback in the near future.

Kaepernick’s chances of getting the call are probably better than Beelzebub, though, his chances are still not good.
